Just got back from Vegas and stayed at the Imperial Palace which we like and hope it continues to stay open. Got there on Sat May 5th about 4 PM. Rented a car and it took us an hour and half to get to the car rental to the Imperial Palace cause of the championship boxing match at the MGM. They put us in a smoking room after they said you do not want smoking but it was a very busy week end there so mistakes do happen. Kept the patio door open while we went to Ellis Island, where we went many times that week and to the Planet Hollywood and did pretty decent there. Next day after church went to see Joe Espitito, who was Elvis's manager at the Wynn, then to Lake Las Vegas. Did nothing there but it was very picturesque. Went to the NYNY that night and did okay. Monday we went to Mesquite and played even. We only play slots and then went downtown Vegas to eat at the California and played a little downtown. Tuesday we went to Red Rock Casino and boy my slot machine was great as was my friends. Went to NYNY that night. Wednesday we went to Laughlin on a bus and did not do too much. Someone was playing my favorite machine (Elvis 25 cent slot). For the first couple years it was free to go to Laughlin, then last year it $5 with a buffet and this year $11 with no buffet. Tnat night we went to Sam's Town and did minus zero. Thursday we went back to Red Rock and was hoping to continue our luck and boy left in a half hour after donating a pile. That night we walked the strip and always go to NYNY and did very well with Elvis and then back to the Imperial and did great with Elvis. Friday did not too well and left Vegas at 4:30 pm. We go to Vegas once a year but next year it will probably be Memphis since Vegas is getting too tight with everything. It will get worse cause the union contracts are all up at the end of May. We love Vegas but it has changed. Thanks for reading and hope it was not too boring!!
